"Vessel Lost.-The schooner Henry Clay, belonging to and sailed by Capt. Larsen, of this port, went ashore in the late gale, six or eight miles north of Racine and went to pieces. She was a very old craft, of small value, and not insured" Milwaukee Sentinel 10/20/1857.
