Final Voyage

11/07/1892 "The little schooner Petrel is no more, having become wrecked at Monument Point near the mouth of Sturgeon Bay, while lying at Anderson's pier. She was valued at about $1,000. No insurance." Door County Advocate 11/12/1892

11/14/1892 The Milwaukee Sentinel reported that the Petrel was rapidly going to pieces and was "split in twain from stem to stern and the forward main mast has gone by the board."
