Final Voyage

"The schooner Fair Play capsized north of Kirkland's Pier off Sheboygan on November 3, 1855. She was seen floating on her side with no sign of her crew and was believed to have gone to the bottom. However, another schooner Fair Play of similar size was built at Sheboygan and may have been a rebuild of this vessel, as it's possible that she came ashore." Wisconsin's Underwater Heritage, September 2010, Brendon Baillod

Note: The second Fair Play foundered north of Port Washington in 1857 and was most likely a total loss.
