This is a series of pipes through which steam flowed to provide heat for the cabin.

Scattered ship fastenings, pipes, and wood pieces exposed by the fire

These structures were built of wood, iron plates, and concrete. They supported the steam-producing boilers and insulated the hull from the heat of the boilers.
