Final Voyage

"In November of 1868, the two masted schooner Wm. A. Arbuckle was beached in Sister Bay to prevent her from foundering. Efforts by the tug American Eagle involving a steam pump proved futile, ant the schooner was abandoned as a total loss. The Milwaukee Sentinel of 123/3/1868 reported that the Arbuckle's bottom was gone."
