Attraction
Description
Located at the confluence of the St. Croix and Mississippi River, a sawmill was located at this site in 1852, and later the Mercord family ran a flour mil at this location. There is a historic marker installed by Prescott at this location, as well as one installed by the Mercord family. Other attractions here include the Vertical-lift Bridge Gear House, a good view of the unique railroad bridge over the St. Croix, as well as a good view of the confluence of the rivers.
