Final Voyage

"The Badger was on her way to Sturgeon Bay with a load of hemlock ties when she waterlogged off Cedar River (?). For twelve hours, Captain Aldrich and the crew pumped to keep the vessel afloat. They were finally rescued by fisherman. The scow's stern was later torn to pieces and she sank. The ties floated to shore." Wild Gales and Tattered Sails, Paul J. Creviere, Jr.
