The wooden two masted scow-schooner Rocky Mountain was built in 1852 at Black River, Ohio. She had no registry number and was valued at the time of her loss at $3,200.

Final Voyage

10/21/1857 "Scow Rocky Mountain, owned by C.D. Spaids of this city, uninsured, was driven ashore north of Racine loaded with wood, she is used to this having gone ashore almost every season." Milwaukee Sentinel 11/23/1857.
